Buford Belfry

A bit of a recluse after his wife died, Buford Belfry was always considered a bit eccentric with his love of inventing and
his insatiable curiosity. Having successfully marketed a few inventions, he used the wealth he accummulated to move to
Carlson's Corners where he felt he could live a secluded life and remain undisturbed while he pursued his scientific
endeavors. He purchased an old, very large house and renamed it the Belfry Manor. Soon the place developed a reputation
among the local populace as rumors abounded of strange goings-on at the place. Little did they know that Buford had
managed to create a dimensional gateway that allowed some otherworldy creatures to enter into our world. These creatures
were refugees from their own dimensions and Buford, a caring soul, took them under his care. However, a mishap during
one of Buford's experiment caused the gateway to malfunction, trapping him between dimensions, but not before he managed to
send a letter to his favorite nephew, Wes. Buford also managed to secure everything so that Wes would have everything
taken care of in regards to the manor's expenses for the next two years.

Shortly after Wes' arrival, Buford managed to appear to Wes and talk with him before saying that he had to leave. Before
leaving, however, Buford expressed that he felt Wes had been brought to Carlson's Corners for a reason... something
beyond Buford's request for Wes to take over the care of Belfry Manor.
