Wesley "Wes" Belfry
First Appearance: Original Episode #1
Species: Bat/cat
Gender: Male
Age: 27
After receiving a strange letter from his Uncle Buford, Wes moved to Carlson's Corners where he has become the new caretaker
of the Belfry Manor, his Uncle's estate. Upon discovering the strange, otherworldy creatures that reside in the manor, along
with a bizarre visit from his uncle, who is trapped in between dimensions, Wes has dedicated his free time to unraveling the
mysteries of Buford's dimensional gateway in an effort to remedy his uncle's situation. Wes also has developed an attraction
for Greta, his closest friend and the first person he met upon arriving in Carlson's Corners. However, due to a
misunderstanding, Kaylie believes she and Wes are dating. Add into the mix the fact that Scott, one of Greta's old friends
has returned and has asked Greta out, it seems that Wes' hopes of dating Greta are slipping further and further away!
Wes is always seen wearing his cross necklace, which is a sign of his Christian faith. His father is a bat and his mother
is a cat, so Wes is a mixture of the two, exhibiting the sort of snout and some characteristics from his
feline heritage, but he seems to have inherited bat characteristics for the most part. A strange peculiarity about Wes is
that unlike regular bats, he has the ability to make his wings disappear and reappear when needed. Uncle Buford seems to
possess this characteristic as well. Wes sometimes hangs upside down when he wants to relax and typically lives a
nocturnal lifestyle, but has adjusted his sleep patterns so that he can interact with the other characters.
Tending to be a bit naive, Wes is considered by many to be like a knight in shining armor. he always tries to do the
right thing and he is very caring. For some reason, things always seem to turn out right for Wes, even if he does have to
endure some hardship along the way. He dedicates himself to trying to make the world around him a better place and those
who encounter him usually find their lives altered for the better. Before Uncle Buford left Wes, he said something that
has stuck with Wes ever since. "I have to go... but you're needed here. There are people here who need you. I don't know
how, but I just know it."
Wes loves science fiction and fantasy, and is interested in comics books, movies, and video games. He also likes listening
to heavy metal, specifically power metal.
